Teaching contextual advertising since platforms became sophisticated enough to matter
We started Ехоdus in 2015 when advertisers were still figuring out how to bid on search terms without wasting half their budgets. We saw people struggling to understand why their ads weren't showing, how auction mechanics actually worked, and what quality score really meant beyond a number in a dashboard.
How we built this thing
We started small. One instructor, 18 students, a rented room in Maple Ridge, and a whiteboard covered in campaign structure diagrams.
Most training at the time was either too technical for beginners or too surface-level for anyone managing real budgets. We wanted something in between - practical enough to apply immediately, detailed enough to explain the why behind platform behaviors.
Our approach hasn't changed much. We show people how platforms make decisions about ad delivery, how bidding algorithms respond to different inputs, and how targeting layers interact. Then we let them test it in controlled environments before they risk client money or their own.
People who run the courses
Three instructors with different backgrounds in paid search, display, and analytics. They rotate through modules based on what they actually do for clients outside of teaching.

We write about platform updates, testing results, and technique adjustments once or twice a month. No promotional content, just what changed and how it affects campaign setup.
